Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise was an American actress, performer, and writer who is best recognized in the role of Ginger Grant from the TV series Gilligan's Island. In the 1950s, she began her professional career as an actor on stage for Bettle Davis' musical Two's Company. After that, she acted on Broadway in various performances until 1957 in which Li'l abner was famous at the National Theatre. The album was released by her too late for Tina the following year. Her first appearance in Hollywood was as Griselda as Griselda in the film God's Small Acre, a 1958 film. The film was met with wide acclaim. Louise won the Golden Globe Award under the New Star of the year category. She was enrolled at Actors Studio, New York at the time, and later became Lee Strasberg's pupil. She signed on with CBS in 1964 as Ginger Grant. Louise was able to balance her acting career effectively between Broadway as well as Hollywood playing somber characters against her perceived image of being a glamorous doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. She has also appeared in SG-1 and Helen Magnus, but in the last few years she's earned a reputation as a director on several well-known TV shows such as Supernatural. She was birthed in Essex August 28th, 1965. The family relocated to Toronto for her early years. She settled in Vancouver following her selection to play Samantha Carter.
